Microsoft Confirms its interest in TikTok

TikTok found itself in warm water after President Trump expressed concerns about the app collecting data on American citizens and the hazard that poses to countrywide safety. owner ByteDance has so far been unsuccessful in operating out a cope with the united states government so an alternative answer is proposed – Microsoft could gather TikTok.

The software program giant officially confirmed that CEO Satya Nadella has been in talks with the President in addition to ByteDance. Microsoft “is devoted to obtaining TikTok subject to a complete safety evaluation and supplying right economic benefits to america, including the united states Treasury.”

The talks with ByteDance could be finished through September 15 of this year, one way or another. If Microsoft strikes a deal, it's going to gather TikTok operations in select markets and may invite different US investors to tackle a minority proportion.

Note that the company is only looking to run TikTok services inside the united states, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. ByteDance will continue running the social network in the remaining markets.
