22 Companies to apply for the PIL Scheme in India

Samsung, Apple suppliers Foxconn, Wistron and Pegatron, and local smartphone makers Micromax and Lava are the various companies that have applied for India's production-linked Incentive Scheme (PLI). Totaling $6.6 billion, this system targets to inspire smartphone and electronics components manufacturing inside the country.


22 companies in the smartphone production area have submitted programs for the incentive scheme with chinese makers under the BBK wing (Oppo, OnePlus, Realme, vivo) lacking from the list.

An anticipated $153 billion worth of smartphones and components are to be produced over the 5-year span of this system. underneath the guidelines of the incentive, the producers have agreed to export 60% of the goods outside of India. 300,000 new jobs might be immediately created inside the process, with an additional 900,000 new jobs not directly associated.
