Microsoft Planning to buy TikTok Global Operations

Earlier this week Microsoft formally confirmed that it's far negotiating the purchase of TikTok’s operations in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Now insiders record that the software program giant is looking to enlarge the scope and consist of Europe and India in the deal, possibly even buying TikTok’s international operations.

The financial times writes that Microsoft and ByteDance (which owns TikTok) have been in negotiations to add India to the deal, but that reportedly fell through. A source told Reuters that Microsoft is yet to approach ByteDance with the offer to absolutely collect the social community.

 
 
 
The US company said that negotiations will stop via September 15 whether there’s a deal or not. President Trump realeased that deadline through saying that he will sign an govt order to close TikTok’s US arm unless an American organization (Microsoft or another) takes control via September 15.

The President is now additionally threatening a ban on WeChat unless a similar cope with a US company is reached. The ban would force US-based Apple and Google to take away the WeChat from their app stores, even in China.
