Industry insider Ross Young has given some bad news for the Apple fans. He's got an honest record with its recent predictions and if the newest one comes up true, the iPhone 12 Pro models will miss on a serious feature - the 120Hz screen refresh rate.
Hearing that Apple can get 120Hz Pro panels, but not 120Hz driver ICs. So they will either have to come up with a fix which will be difficult, wait for 120Hz driver ICs and delay the launch possibly significantly or launch with 60Hz. We are hearing they will launch with 60Hz.

People within the supply chain say that the 120Hz OLED panels are secured and prepared to manufacture but Apple can't seem to seek out driver ICs to drive the pixels at 120Hz. And rather than expecting ICs, the rumors suggest that Apple will once more default to the 60Hz refresh rate so it doesn't push the launch further back.
It may come as a disappointment to some as long as the industry has moved ahead and now 120Hz is out there on most flagships with some even reaching 144Hz. Would you think that less of subsequent iPhone flagships if they miss out on that? Let us know in the comment section below
