Amazon to start showing Country of Origin soon

Starting July 21st, all products offered via Amazon.in will have to mention their 'country of origin'. The e-commerce platform has asked its sellers through email to tell the company in which country their products have been manufactured earlier than being offered in India. The sellers have 20 days to reply; after August 10th, they'll face "enforcement action, including suppression of your listing," Amazon said within the e-mail. This comes days after it become reported that the authorities will direct Amazon, Flipkart, and different e-shops to specify the "united states of america of origin" on products which might be sold on their systems to neighborhood industries and "Made in India" products.



As per the email, Amazon stated that the sellers will must display the country "from wherein the product has originated." If it's imported, then the country of foundation isn't India. dealers have also been asked to provide touch details of the importer, inclusive of e mail, cope with, postal cope with, or even the touch range of customers who order the product to Amazon.
